QGov transition to Queensland Digital Identity (QDI)
What you need to know
From 16 March 2025, the Queensland Digital Identity (QDI) will replace the QGov digital identity system. This means that after this date, all Queensland Government online services that previously used QGov login will require QDI login credentials instead.
To ensure a smooth transition, please review the information below and take any necessary steps before 28 February 2025.
Key changes
QGov is being replaced by QDI
Scheduled outage for QGov on 16 March 2025 from 6:00 am - 12:00 pm
Change freeze period: 28 February - 16 March 2025
Ensure your email, name, and date of birth match between QGov and QDI
Close any unused QGov accounts before 28 February 2025
How to check and prepare for the transition
Follow these steps to ensure your account is properly migrated to QDI:
Identify Your QGov Accounts: Log in to QGov and check if you have multiple linked accounts.
Check Your Details: If you already have a Digital Licence App (DLA), you already have a QDI—make sure your details align.
Consolidate Accounts
If you have multiple QGov accounts, with different emails:
Close any unused accounts before the transition.
Ensure your active QGov account details are up to date
Create your QDI: Download the Queensland Digital Licence app.
Use the same email and correct personal details to merge with your QGov identity.
Log in using QDI
After the transition the login option will be referred to as QDI. The same credentials used for your QGov account can be used for this option. Multi-factor authentication will be required to access.
