Discovering spatial data or information in a number of our applications or systems is commonly based on address search or lot plan.

The majority of our systems use the property location service to validate an address. Improvements have been made to the service to increase search results, and include:

  • special symbols and non-standard characters (eg., @, !, + etc).

  • extra non-standard abbreviations were added to enable better finding of matches.

  • improvements to how road names/partial road names of type display (i.e. The Promenade, Esplanade etc). The road suffix (East, North etc) is now part of the road name.

  • results lists from auto-complete and address validation are no sorted by unit and street number (including non-variants found in the address database).
