Feature Type definitions:

Auxiliary Contour – An additional contour used to aid relief interpretation over flatter or unique terrain, usually half the standard contour interval. The chosen values are of equal elevation above the Australian Height Datum.
Index Contour – Being every fifth Intermediate Contour - classified as “Index Contour” e.g. elevation values of 5m, 25m, 50m, 75m
Intermediate Contour – Representing an imaginary line on the ground joining points of equal elevation above the Australian Height Datum, showing increasing and decreasing elevation values at 5 metre intervals.
Index Imperial Contour – Being every fifth Intermediate Imperial Contour - classified as Feature Type “Index Imperial Contour”.
Intermediate Imperial Contour – Representing an imaginary line on the ground joining points of equal elevation above the Australian Height Datum, showing increasing and decreasing elevation values at 5 metre intervals. These elevations were originally captured in feet and converted to the nearest metre.
Depression Contour - A closed contour, inside of which the ground or geologic structure is at a lower elevation than that outside and distinguished from other contour lines by ticks marked on the downslope or downdip side.

Definition: – An additional contour used to aid relief interpretation over flatter or unique terrain, usually half the standard contour interval. The chosen values are of equal elevation above the Australian Height Datum.
