How can I download the photographic index/spatial layer for use in a GIS system?
QImagery uses the Aerial Photography photo centroids - Queensland dataset to display its imagery. You can download this data via QSpatial:
Aerial photography photo centroids - Queensland
Can I use the images in GIS Software?
Yes. You will need to download both the JPG and the JPGW (Coordinates) files and save into one folder on your computer. The JPGW (World File developed by ESRI) is a text file that contains co-ordinates and instructs the GIS software on how to locate the associated JPG in a co-ordinate space. It can be used in ESRI ArcGIS or the free QGIS GIS software packages. For more information about downloading images for use in a GIS system please refer to the Imagery help…..
