In our ever-expanding, interconnected, and data-centric world, digital geospatial data has emerged as an indispensable asset across diverse industries and applications.  In line with this trend, the Queensland Government upholds an Open Data policy, facilitating public access to the spatial data and information curated by the government. Part of this repository of information captures Queensland's topographic characteristics, portraying both natural landscapes and constructed features through digital data providing a depiction of the state's geographical features.

This information is designed to provide clarity on the structure and content of Queensland's Digital Topographic Data and does so in both a general and technical nature. It outlines the base foundational attribute structure of the data.  The data is categorized into six themes, each comprising various features. These features are digitally represented as points, polylines, or polygons, tailored to specific geography or display scale requirements.

The schema will empower knowledge sharing and ensures a level of consistency and understanding of all data profiles and work processes, while also providing clarity on data content and structure essential for process control and quality assurance.
