As part of the department’s transition to the cloud, end-of-life infrastructure hosted on-premises is being shut down. This process involves a transition from using services hosted on-premises to services hosted in the cloud.
The department offers many open-data spatial services via a variety of protocols via its on-premises infrastructure. It is the department’s intention to provide like-for-like replacement services where possible, with functionality as near-to-identical as possible. However, due to underlying platform changes, small differences in certain aspects are unavoidable. As such, it is strongly recommended that transitioning usage of services be undertaken as a proactive activity, to allow time for adequate testing.
